Neutral Sandals
I donno how you roll, but I'm a creature that gravitates to the same thing over and over again. I thought about doing a post on sharing how many "neutral" shoes I have, or how many gold bracelets I have to layer, or how many pale pink nail polishes I have.... you get my drift right? Always going for the same thing THINKING oh but this one is a LITTLE different. Right? HA! yeah, not so much! So as the new summer season has been approaching, … [Read more...]
imm Living
imm Living (what a cute name!) is one of the funnest home accessory lines I've recently spotted in in one of my fave shops in town, Luxe Objects (and those NOT in town, they can still hook you up with some goodness). As cute as the name is, the whimsical and unexpected delights that imm Living offers is always a delight and a surprise. These beauties in my opinion can go in any home with pretty much any design style. They're fun, yet classic, … [Read more...]
Friday’s Five
This was a hiccup of a week... It started ok and we had some turn of events that frankly left me out of the mood to be very chatty and also I felt inappropriate to blab about my usual pretties that I love to share. Those things seemed so frivolous to me and I just had to give it time before I got back up to doing what I do here. So pardon my break, but I had to feel it inside, and at the same time feel appropriate too. 1. I never appreciated … [Read more...]
Tornadic Tragedy
My heart is so heavy today. The devastation in my home state is unthinkable. About just 20 miles south of where I live, which is not that far, and an area that we are no strangers to, was the largest tornado in the history of tornados in the world (as quoted by Mike Morgan, chief meteorologist at KFOR). This tornado took a path 20 miles long and it was 2 1/2 miles wide. Having been hit with storms, getting worse as each day has passed, the … [Read more...]
Show me my goal.
There is something to be said about SEEING what it is you are reaching towards. Goal setting. For anything you're trying to achieve or become, having a visual reminder of what that is in front of you all the time will greatly help you get there. And I need a visual NOW! Case in point, weight loss. It seems I feel like I yo-yo the past several winters, and this one being no different. Am I packing on a built in winter coat??? I have no … [Read more...]
Five thoughts…
Five thoughts that either bring back memories, will create new memories, or capture memories. But all connected in that way. Not planned or intentional when I began to write this, but it appears to be the common thread to all of my five thoughts today.... 1. I recently became the owner of a new vehicle, and part of the deal is one year of free Sirius XM radio. I never listen to any one set thing, let alone pay for a service when we have free … [Read more...]
DIY Gel Nails
You have heard me talk of my love/hate relationship for gel nails before HERE. Well, miss mini-me who is into beauty not long ago purchased this little system by Sally Hansen at the drugstore... and she had a revelation that it can be used on regular nail polish. So I thought lemme give it a try! Here's what I used from the kit and NOT from the kit... The Sally Hansen light, the Sally Hansen top coat. The base … [Read more...]

Black and White Chevron
The chevron trend is still going on, and I know it won't be too long from now that we will probably be saying, "remember alllllll that chevron?" It will be the 2012-13 fad and will die who knows when. But, for now, I'm loving it! So I'll milk it now as much as I can. Here's a great little outfit for a luncheon, a shopping day, a shower... something that can be worn to lot's of places... Some might wear this little top without a belt as a … [Read more...]
