Next order of business… This pictured stirred some thought provoking conversation..

My friend Prissy, a super sharp AND fab blogger/author American now Parisian, send me this pic and said “what do you think of capes?” And it got me thinking about several things. 1. Fashion and how cool they are 2. Would I wear it? Because this stems from me knowing I MUST purge my wardrobe, and I buy s**t all the time I DON’T need, but I buy them because I LIKE them, not once considering part 2 of the equation.

1. Here’s how cool they are….

So they look pretty fabulous, don’t you think? I think so! In fact, I think so so much that I went into my closet and found one in charcoal I had purchased about 3 years ago…. with the TAGS still on it. {sad face} (which means I ought to do a post wearing it!) Which goes to my second question…

2. I did not wear it. Doesn’t mean I still won’t! It’s a classic, it’s in a classic color, but I guess I forgot about it because I go to my same ole same ole…

So… in all of this… my opinion is YES! I LOVE the cape, but consider if you’ll wear it. If you think you will, GO for it, especially because it’s something that is fun and a little different than just a regular coat. Also, think of your climate. I told Prissy, “how about the trek to and from the metro in Paris? Will it keep you warm enough?” Good point! Great for transition seasons!
