Mother’s day to me is the pivotal time that my dressing begins to shift into summer mode. This is the point where I shift to my brighter colors and lighter fabrics. It’s also the time that the weather begins to shift to warmer temperatures and that means lighter fabrics with a summer feel.
Bring in florals… and straw.
Yes! Florals are in this year in a major way. Big prints, small prints, in all kinds of colors in all kinds of ways. And straw accessories are going to be everywhere this summer. I see this as the perfect mix of feminine summer style.
I picked up this dress at the Boutique Warehouse Sale in OKC last month. What is that? It was a one weekend event that was a “warehouse sale” from 18 boutiques, as well as a section of high end designer consignment. This was a new DVF dress that was regularly $550 I got for $120! So I pulled some feminine floral dresses for you along with some straw bags. They’re all mix and match and easy to wear.
