I’m BAAAAAAAACK! I THINK my brain is refreshed and ready to go and get back into the swing of things. I will say I think my plate is fuller than ever but still, it’s all so very good and exciting! As most of you know, I’ve been MIA for several weeks, and I had quite a task at hand. I had to pack for two types of trips, that were back to back, in one swoop, and be prepared for whatever and where ever. First trip was work in Atlanta for market for Honestly Margo. The second was a week at the beach in Mexico. You can imagine here… work clothes (which is uniform basically), maybe going out clothes, lounge clothes?… swimsuits, maybe dress up clothes? So you see, the struggle is real here.
I had no idea Atlanta was as beautiful as it was, and I didn’t even have time to truly explore it. But as we had to run some errand for her setup, we stumbled across some areas that were totally picture worthy. Just like when we have a good hair day or a good makeup day, it was a beautiful scene day! HA! Was I dressed for it? Well, you be the judge.
I was wearing a sundress, comfy enough to run around, in the heat of the day, and possibly see some sights. Hair thrown up into a quick bun, off we went! As we stumbled upon this cool area called Atlantic Station, I said to the Uber driver, “Pull over!” Because when I take my pics, I try to find beautiful areas, and even though the purpose of our outing was errands, this area was too beautiful to pass up. #spontaneousphotoop
This is kind of a “What To Wear” post combined with a “Shop Your Closet” post. In my suitcase I had thrown in this asymmetrical knit dress I picked up at Target last summer. It’s cool, lightweight, and packs well, doesn’t wrinkle. I bought some cute inexpensive sunglasses from Marshall’s for travel, one of my key fashion and travel packing rules I live by. I hate getting expensive nice sunnies all yukkied up with sand and lotions, and I don’t have to worry about them getting stolen off of my chair either! This bag from Kate Falchi from Balliet’s was my go to bag for everything, and I had shared it HERE.
So, take a versatile dress that’s comfy and stylish, comfortable shoes that can mix and match with lots of things, a big bag for everything, and you’re prepared for anything that can come your way. .. well, almost!
