I didn’t have a chance to run to the local nail shop to get a manicure this past weekend. And the color choice I selected on my most recent mani was one of theirs, not one I have at home. So I had to deal with the chipping that occurs at the tips after about 10 days, which is the biggest reason I’ve never been a fan of dark colors (till this past winter).
I hate it more than anything. It’s one of my big beauty pet peeves of all times. If you wear dark colors, don’t let them chip. And if you do, get them fixed! I just think it looks tacky. My personal opinion. Anyhooooo…. So, I had a BRILLIANT idea! You know all these glitzy pics we see on Pinterest of all these nails with sparkle and glitter that decorate the nails? Well, I thought what if I FIX the TIPS with GLITZ? {sparkle smile!}
One of my awesome girlfriends gave me some of this wonderful Butter London Nail Polish for the holidays, and I love having the party nail, and even all my nails glitzed, but it never occurred to me to GLITZ the TIPS till now! {wink!… I bet you didn’t know it that this mama is a poet! HA!}
Here’s how that all went down….
After I did the tips, I let them dry and covered the entire nail with a clear top coat.
So what do you think? Thumbs up? Thumbs down? It’s really personal taste. For me, I can’t say I LOVE it… I’m really a pretty simple person when it comes to my nails, and I’m so picky about that whole chipping thing. I think it’s a bit busy for me, personally. On other people, I think it’s fine. Maybe it’s my age that I feel it’s more your younger girls? It’s not a bad thing, either. It definitely gives me that quick fix if I don’t have time to redo my nails or get a mani. Just fix the tips with glitz!
