Two of my favorite passions are interior design and fashion. And when those two collide, we have something magnificent!
Earlier this year, a whole new way of living entered our great city, Oklahoma City.
First let me introduce you to the Metropolitan. The Metropolitan is an upscale, urban living experience. They have an unbeatable location, with access right off the highway beside Automobile Alley and within walking and biking distance of Bricktown, Deep Deuce, Downtown and Midtown. Not only are the different lobby areas fabulously done, but the residences as well have high end interior finishes and top of the line amenities that range from an under water surround sound system in the heated, salt water pool to the Cappuccino cabinets with non-porous quartz countertops.
They have a total of 329 apartment homes with 216 occupied as of today and 33 unique floor plans. That’s a LOT of floor plans! All of the apartment homes come with a parking space in the parking garage for each individual lease holder. The residents are also provided with the option of attending complimentary yoga classes weekly as well as spin, barre and TRX classes. As far as convenience and extra amenities, they also have a Met Mart with vending machines, ATM and Bizzie Box locations for dry-cleaning and laundry services. Additionally, the residents are provided with a Met Perks card upon move in that local restaurants and shops partner with the Metropolitan on for discounts on services, food or products.
Hearing about these perks and amenities really don’t do it justice. Seeing is believing. When I said living in style, this represents a LIFESTYLE. The interior design looks modern, hip, on trend, classy, and something that looks out of a magazine that belongs in New York. It truly is an upscale urban living experience.
So after seeing this magnificent urban living area, I immediately thought that these fabulous residents need to know where to shop. And the first place that came to mind is Balliets.
If you haven’t seen Balliets as of yet, you can check them out in previous posts HERE and HERE. I call it our own locally owned high end department store, where you can find labels like Stuart Weitzman, Jimmy Choo, Aquazzura, Alexis, Missoni, Milly, Stella McCartney just to name a few. In addition to fashion, shoes, handbags, fabulous accessories, and a few home decor items, the entire second floor is beauty. There you can find La Prairie, Bobbi Brown, Trish McEvoy, Dauphin and more. Not only can you get your makeup done (as I did by the fabulous Jennifer), but you can have spa and facial treatments as well.
Where fashion and living in style collide…..
From looking chic at work, to being effortlessly chic on your casual day, to fun nights out on the town, this is where fashion and living collide with style. So if living in style is your kinda thing, then urban living at the Metropolitan and shopping at Balliets go hand in hand.
What I’m wearing:
- Casual day look: Frame jeans, Milly sweater, Stella McCartney bag, Alexis Bitter bracelet,
