I wish I was one of those girls who do gel and shellac nails. Unfortunately, I’m not one of those. The acetone just TOTALLY wears on my nails, making them brittle and weak. Pretty sad. This isn’t the first time I’ve shared my desire for the gel nail… in fact, I’m all about trying alternatives, and I did one HERE.
I confess… I’m a beauty junkie, and especially when it comes to going to the the drugstore, I fight buying more nail polish and lipsticks like an alcoholic in a liquor store. It’s RARE that I don’t come home with either of those… in multiples.
Soooooo TODAY, I’m super excited! I spotted this duo at Walgreen’s recently, so I had to take it home….
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel claims to be the gel without the light. AND removal is simple with only nail polish remover. Remember, it’s the acetone soak that destroys my natural nails.
So now I’m 4 days into this little so-it-yourself mani, and so far, not a single nick, chip, dent, anything! I am VERY pleased so far. And lemme say this…. I LOVE getting mani-pedi’s. But sometimes, I don’t have the time to go, so it’s all about being fast and convenient and whipping up something here to look presentable and put together.
If you’re into gel nails, take a look at this little dynamic duo. So far I can’t complain!

Of course! It’s #190 Pinky Rings. There are several that are close to it, but I love this color. Good luck! Thank you for stopping by!

Good to know! I’ve not done the at home gel nails because I didn’t know how to get it off easily. I love gel nails!!
