Today my heart was beating HARD! I got a new piece of furniture. Yes, a new piece, not a consignment piece, not a vintage antique piece. A NEW piece. I had to go for SERIOUS functionality. And I mean SERIOUS. The task at hand is MASSIVE. What is it, you say? Ahhhhh… ok lovies… so anything pretty I’m drawn to, right? Especially if it sparkles. Right? I have a SERIOUS addiction to jewelry… and in talking to dear fabulicious friend Jessica after bumping into her at the Apple store, it is confirmed. It’s an INSANE thing we are just DRAWN to like magnets. Real stuff, nice costume stuff, whatever. Just PRETTY stuff! oh MY! … lets leave that for another day…. I’m getting off on a tangent… matters at hand.
So this is what was delivered into my “dressing room” HA!
Here is the INSIDE of it…
As if I didn’t have enough space for all those shiny sparklies, it was all PILING up on top of each other…. I couldn’t see what I had, where it was, there was NO sense of organization. And, I can’t stand not being organized. So, in addition to that brown jewelry chest you see tucked in the corner there, VOILA! I got this beautiful lingerie chest. Functional too…. always LOVE mirrors, right? I very rarely throw jewelry away. My viewpoint on purging accessories is NOT the same as clothes. Bags, scarves, belts, and JEWELRY can always come back, can always have a way of working its way into our look.
Now, even though I prefer a sleeker look, I don’t mind the feminine frillies. It IS in my girlie closet, right?
Not only will it be the new home for some of my bling things, but it’s going to be perfect for scarves that were hanging, wallets that are shoved into another drawer, gloves, all kinds of smaller accessories like that. I think I hit the JACKPOT!
So tell me… how do you organize your mess? Seriously, I’ve been tossing turning, buying clear plastic craft organizers, trying to figure all this out. So really…. talk to me… comment below… tell me how you keep your pretties organized!

Woot! Your blog actually loaded for me today! I LOVE this! This is the first jewelry wardrobe I’ve seen that I actually like! I totally need something like this too. Right now all my stuff is in various boxes.
