If there is one thing that’s my thing, it’s bags. I’m a bag lady. And do I ever need another bag? Of course not! But if I see one that is different than what I have and the price is right, I might have to break down and add to my collection.
Such was the case with this Kate Falchi tote. I’ve been working with Balliet’s recently on a project and I’m beyond delighted that they asked me to work with them because I “rediscovered” this store in my own backyard. With all new buyers than what once was of the past, I saw things I hadn’t seen before. And I saw this bag and thought to myself, this was JUST what I needed. For real. Here’s why.
It’s a tote bag. I have lots of bags, but here are the things that make this the best tote bag.
- 1. It’s lightweight. Seriously, light as a feather. Who wants a bag that weighs 10 lbs. All of our s**t that we put in it weighs that. You guys know that right?
- 2. It’s huge and roomy. Ok that is why I needed it. I not only have The OP Life and Honestly Margo that I help run, but I write for several other businesses which means I’m photographing things and I need a camera bag that doesn’t LOOK like a camera bag. THIS is perfection. Plus I can put my wallet, my planner, my lipsticks, you know the routine.
- 3. It travels well. It has a magnet closure so if do you want it while you travel, it can stay shut. But if you want to pack it FOR travel, it’s so soft and squishy, it folds easily into your suitcase. Voila!
- 4. It looks fancy with it’s python print that I love (it’s so versatile!), but it’s micro fiber. LOVE that!
So after photographing about 12 stores in the humidity, carrying my camera and planner in my new bag, this is what I look like. Frizzy hair, makeup worn off kinda (we talked about that issue yesterday wink!), but, at least I had a fabulous bag that made it all better! The best part of all.. it was less than $200!
This is just one of the awesome things you’ll see at our fashion adventure Thursday night… What am I talking about? THIS.
I hope you can come!
Want one? Call Balliet’s, tell them you saw it here. They’ll take exceptional care of you!
[…] This is kind of a “What To Wear” post combined with a “Shop Your Closet” post. In my suitcase I had thrown in this asymmetrical knit dress I picked up at Target last summer. It’s cool, lightweight, and packs well, doesn’t wrinkle. I bought some cute inexpensive sunglasses from Marshall’s for travel, one of my key fashion and travel packing rules I live by. I hate getting expensive nice sunnies all yukkied up with sand and lotions, and I don’t have to worry about them getting stolen off of my chair either! This bag from Kate Falchi from Balliet’s was my go to bag for everything, and I had shared it HERE. […]
