So let me tell you how this went down. Every Tuesday in my group, The OP Lounge, we have something called TIP TUESDAY. Each week has a theme, and not long ago, one of the themes was cooking. One fabulous gal shared this recipe with us and I nearly fell out of my chair.
What is this dream of a food come true? It one slice of cheese that is made into a crispy taco shell, or if you’ve been like me, not make it into a shell but eat it like a chip. That’s it. It’s a no carb taco shell because it’s a slice of cheese transformed into the shape of a shell.
No Carb Taco Shell
- One slice provolone cheese
- Parchment paper
Place cheese on parchment paper. Microwave it for 50 seconds, or until it turns golden brown. Remove and quickly shape it.
It’s only 80 calories and literally the easiest thing in the world to make.
Make it into a chip, or mold it even to a little cup for appetizers and put a bit of salad or any other filling you want in it.
