“Less Is More” is one of my favorite fashion mottos. Especially when you have fabulous accessories and shoes that have detail on them, let everything be simple and let those pieces do all the talking. Looking for a classic “Audrey Hepburn” elegant dinner look, here’s something I suggest. I paired a simple navy dress with pink, two colors that look beautiful together, and let the details on the shoes and the earrings give the little extra pop I think it needed. This pleated navy dress flowed with the wind and moved beautifully with every step I took. It defined femininity with everything about it.
If you have statement earrings, don’t hide them in your hair. Let them show. Style your hair in a way that they pop and get noticed like they’re supposed to be. The messy pony and low messy bun are so in right now, it was all over the runways at New York Fashion Week, so just throw your hair up and show your baubles.
I pulled several fashion trends and personal rules I live by in this…
- I always find things with unique detail.
- Less is more. Simplicity is key sometimes.
- Messy hair can be dressy hair.
- Block heels are in.
- Monochrome is always a good thing.
- When done right, pairing high end with budget items can still look fabulous.
I had to say, this look totally made me feel very “Audrey Hepburn”. What do you think?
