When Summer Isn't Over Yet

The world in which I live, a lot of kids will be going back to school next week. NEXT WEEK! I’m like seriously? Summer isn’t over yet! It’s still SUMMER PEOPLE! It’s still BLISTERING hot! My kids still have another month. And for the rest of the world, many people’s “holiday” begins mid July and goes into August. So really, even though we’re seeing fall stuff already, summer ain’t over.

I have to admit I’m a beach girl. I’m drawn to the sand and the sun and the sounds of the sea. I can plop myself in the sand all day. And we planned a trip south of the border to Mexico for a quick getaway after two back to back work shows. Here’s a bit of my daily experience every morning… Please note the natural look. That hat… AGAIN! Are you sick of my hat yet??? (I shared it HERE) … I left it in Mexico, by the way. I hope the maids enjoy it because it got wrinkled going down and frankly, it was so inexpensive, it’s no big deal to get another next year. I finally wore my Lilly For Target flip flops. My striped Stephanie Johnson straw bag has been my staple go-to for my little “clutch” if you will for the beach that goes inside my beach bag.

And since summer isn’t over, I thought we’d go shopping to Nordstrom’s huge Anniversary Sale, the NSALE. I’m thinking about a sexy black one-piece for myself… what do you think?
