You’ve seen my posts this week about fashion (those of you who have been following me know I don’t post about the same topic every day, but this was an unusual week)…. One person commented on Facebook that they didn’t see much that was actually wearable. True! Many of the things are really not ready-to-wear, however many were. But the ones that were not, we should look at that fashion as another form of beautiful art. Wouldn’t you agree? All such loveliness… just a few thoughts on the fashion side of it…
But what about style?
Your personal style…
- How you put things together.
- The way you carry yourself.
- The looks you create, regardless of the price tag.
- Not wearing a trend just because EVERYONE is wearing it.
- Dressing for how YOU feel and what you like.
- Defines you.
- It’s who YOU are.
It’s always so fun when people tag me on a picture on Instagram or Facebook with some kinda of fashion find, because they know it’s MY style, and my friends can spot it a mile away….
… because it’s me. {wink}
Happy Friday! (and it’s a GOOD Friday, isn’t it! Kali Anastasi my Orthodox peeps!)

Fashion shows are a runway showcase done in grandiose style.
As a whole an outfit may be unwearable. One must learn to look at each piece individually.
I cannot remember the last time I watched a Victoria’s Secret fashion show and thought, “I gotta have those wings!”.

I want the wings!!! HA! 🙂 Art… fashion designers are artists. As simple or as grandiose as it can be. I agree with you!
However I will say, some of the fabulous tails that WishNow had a OFW, as I’ve seen in VS shows, one girl in my home LOVED and I must say, the way it was done up, it was pretty stinkin cute that I could see her wear! #herpersonalstyle #individuality 🙂

So true Irene…..such wonderful posts and images all week showcasing all the incredible events during OKFW…such a delight to see all the images. Thank you so much for sharing us your insight and candid moments of you, Margo, the many talented designers and all the fashionistas in attendance. I agree with you about style and its all individual and intrinsic and instinctive in nature…it can be cultivated as well.
I, also, choose to view fashion as forms of art especially haute couture etc….but all designs and how people put it all together is what really moves and excites me. And that is exactly what your blog represents to me…..style…in your home, what we wear, how we live….it’s not about the money….it’s all about expressing our true selves and radiating our own individuality. #youhaveitinspades #rockstyle #model xo xo
