You read that right.
S’mores waffles. I didn’t come up with this one. Actually, I heard this at the salon last week as I was getting my hair cut and colored (and as my mom would say as I was growing up, “I heard it at the beauty shop!”). The gal next to me was saying she was at the Arts Council Festival of the Arts the night before and had the MOST amazing s’mores waffles. My ears PERKED up. I’m like whaaaaaaaaa? ya. I said, “sorry not to be nosey, but can you PLEASE elaborate??? this sounds WAY too amazing to act like I’m not eavesdropping!”
So… keeping it simple… this is inspired by Waffle Awesome & Paseo Arts Association that I tried to duplicate. I can’t say it was as amazing as the one she ate, but from the look of my son’s face, it was pretty scrumptious!
The goods….
- Frozen waffles (because it’s easy)
- Nutella
- Mini Marshmallows
- A few graham crackers, crumbled into crumbs
First, toast the waffle. Then spread the Nutella on the waffle. Top with mini marshmallows.
Finally top with crumbled graham cracker pieces.
Bake at 350 for about 10 – 15 minutes till you see the marshmallows getting all toasty.
The crumbs will be messy, fyi, just saying and might fall off as you bite into it or slice it. Still scrumptious.
And I had this little guy anxiously awaiting for my “beauty shop recipe” experiment to be ready to be the taste tester. He was pretty happy, to say the least! {wink!}
