I know fall is quickly approaching, but with our blistering hot temperatures, I’m still in summer mode…
You know that feeling that little girls get when they play dress up? That “I feel fabulous” feeling? You see, I have this big floppy hat. And even though I’m no longer a young chickadee, that doesn’t stop me from wanting to play dress up. {wink!}
I did a post not long ago with my black floppy hat here. For those of you who might know me and my family, you know they weren’t the biggest fans of the hat. So on my recent vacation, I packed it, and they unpacked it. So I repacked it, and they re-unpacked it. I ended up winning and stuck the puppy back in my bag and away we went.
So, I bring you the floppy hat in action. I wanted to feel beautiful and play dress up….
So fast forward into the trip… The fam got down to the beach before me, and I decided it was the perfect day for me to wear it. {wink} I put it on, feeling fabulous as that floppy hat made me feel, and they were in the water as I approached the shore. I saw them and saw a huge eyeball roll and them looking at each other…. With that, I took it as my cue to embarrass them even more… After all, that’s what moms (and wives sometimes too) are supposed to do, right? With that I yelled a big YOOOO HOOOO! and waved real big. They knew it was a lost cause.
That’s what the hat did for me. I’m not a huge hat girl, but I think I’m about to become one. If you wanna feel all that, play dress up. I learned that we’re never too old to play dress up.
