{That was your Monday morning wake up call!LOL!}
As another spring break has come to an end and our daily routines begin again, I wanted to share some thoughts on the little things in life and taking them for granted…. After all, this is the good stuff in life.
My family and I took a mini get away this past week, partly for business and partly for pleasure. I have to admit, I’m not a huge fan of spring break vacations. I know that seems COMPLETELY absurd. I mean, who doesn’t want a getaway? Well, I love traveling, but I also savor the days that we have no where to be, no early wake up time to be off and out the door to school. I love spring break where all we do is just take a BREAK from the hustle and bustle. It seems to take a while for me to get back into the groove after vacationing. Nonetheless, off we ventured.
A nice getaway it was. Great business accomplished, saw some new sights did a little shopping, and we were all together as a family. As in ALL together. Like ALLLLLL together. Like eyeball rolling. Like ANOTHER PICTURE???Like ARE WE THERE YET? Like ARE YOU EVEN WATCHING WHERE YOU’RE GOING? Like EWE THAT STINKS!!! Like MOOOOOOOM-uh! Like MOM STOP DANCING! OMG YOU’RE SO EMBARRASSING! yeah…. thats how it rolled.
Need to get this book (I have a fear I’m losing my mind because my brain has a mind of it’s own that I swear I have memory issues!)
Even this bit of craziness (that I LOVE about her!)..

Enjoying the little things…. there will be a day when I won’t have spring break in my life because my kids will be grown and gone. And every day will be the same.
So it’s these small things. The little things that we take for granted, the things that can be annoying, the things that can get on our nerves, the things that make us want to lock ourselves in the bathroom to “escape them” (you know what I’m talkin about moms and wives of husbands that act like a 5th grader!! {wink})… to savor and relish and enjoy.
It’s the good stuff.
