One year ago today The OP Life was born.
How time flies!! I knew some 8 years ago when this whole blogging thing was beginning to emerge that I was fascinated by it all. But I was clueless and really it just wasn’t time for me. Fast forward with all this social media, and me just growing as a person, and finally deciding, whether I know what I’m doing or not, HERE I GO! And I jumped in with both feet and never looked back as I ventured on this soul bearing journey. Because it kinda is just that…..
The OP Life stands for ON PURPOSE, and initially, I was going to share really deep meaningful things that inspire us to become more ON PURPOSE, but I also I knew I had SOOOOO many passions I had to vent and so many things I loved and wanted to share with the world. And all the deep warm fuzzy stuff is good but can get boring over time too! I was once criticized for being like “everyone else, that there is nothing really ON PURPOSE about what my blog offers.”
Well, it was a lightbulb moment for me. I decided right then I would be who I am, and THAT is being ON PURPOSE. And so I share the goofy silly side of myself, the things I am passionate about and love and obsess over, and the deeper side of me. Because as much as an extrovert I am, I think I’m equally an introvert, believe it or not.
This has been one awesome journey that has made me grow as a person in so many ways and I’m so glad I took a leap of faith to put myself out there for rejection, for judgement, for lack of an audience, for whomever would even take a look and read and continue reading what was ON PURPOSE for me.
I am humbled by those of you who choose to read my blog. I’m so grateful and blessed to have friends and followers who open their email to see what I’m going to ramble about today….. for those who click on my Facebook link and share it with others… for those who are interested in what this Greek mama has to share with the world. I hope in some ways I inspire you, motivate you, drive you, make you laugh, make you cry (for good things), and make a difference in some aspect of your life. If I’ve done that, then my purpose is served. What started out as a vent to share everything I’m ON PURPOSE about to the world hopefully transforms itself into something beneficial in your world.
