At the 2016 Met Gala Red Carpet opening event of this year’s annual fashion exhibit, Manus x Machina, there was an exhibit of its own showing the futuristic side of fashion that truly brought together man and machine. Met Gala Manus x Machina video portraits done by filmmaker Gordon von Steiner for Vogue were works of art in and of themselves. The way he captured these A-listers wearing their designers, with the lights and together with movement to the music is just something way awesome to see.

The fashions that the guests wore were taken to a whole other level of design and sense of futuristic style. It exemplified the merging of the creations of man with technology and how together they are an awe inspiring sight. See the Instagram videos below. Anna Wintour kicked off the portrait session in her classic Chanel style.
Other iconic guests captured included Blake Lively wearing a feminine flowing regal gown from Burberry, Selena Gomez, Madonna, Adriana Lima, Kendall Jenner, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who dazzled everyone with their impeccably coordinated look for the evening from Balmain. There was even a #balmainarmy captured together, worn by Cindy Crawford, Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes, and Jourdan Dunn.
