Those of us with medium to long hair have one thing in common I think… We have the ability to go a few days without washing our hair, throw it up, and it’s A-OK. And these bejeweled beauties I came across the other day at On A Whim gave me yet another reason to skip a day of washing my hair.
First, if you haven’t been to On A Whim in Classen Curve, you don’t know what you’re missing. Started by 2 girlfriends out of their homes way back when (yes I actually remember shopping with them back then, about 11? years ago or so? at their home shows before starting a storefront), you’ll find unique things for the home, to some fabulous clothing and accessory lines, to just everything girlie. Anyhoo, on my recent visit there, I immediately was drawn to these fab hair jewels.
So this entire table is covered in lovelies for the hair. And , you guys know my taste and you know me by now. Can you GUESS what I was immediately drawn to?
Yup. I am like JEWELRY for my HAIR! ummmmmm, hello one in every color, thank you! LOL!
So here is mine, in a peachy/dusty rose color with gold beads.
I kept my accessories light around my ears and neck and had heavy business going on with my wrists. I think it’s kinda about balance. Since the headband was jeweled up, adding too much on my neck and ears would be too much in my opinion. Balance on the accessories.
Yup, those black Goody headbands from the drugstore are great for sweats and running around to the gym, but when I want to feel a little more dressed up, this is the way to go.
So even though I didn’t wash my hair today, it was a good hair day, wouldn’t you say?
I love these. I have a couple of cute scarf bands but haven’t found a bead one I like. So cute and great for summer.
