I’ve told you before of my past involving Weight Watchers. I was a leader and coached people to lose weight. I gave them tips, hints, encouragement, ideas, mental strategies, advice and recipes. Foods were measured in points and things with ZERO points were always top on my list. This little concoction is something I created and was one of those top on my list. And believe me, once you try it, you’ll see for yourself, you don’t have to be a Weight Watcher to love this refreshing, cool, light, frothy and EASY dessert.
Seriously are you ready for this recipe?
1 box of your favorite flavor of SUGAR FREE Jello.
1 container of Fat Free Cool Whip.
Prepare the Jello according to the speed set directions. Let sit in the refrigerator for a while, but not set. (Maybe 30 min?) Then take 2 giant heaping spoonfuls of the Cool Whip and fold it into the Jello that is setting. Place back into the refrigerator.
Depending on when you take it out to fold in the Cool Whip, it will set firmer or less firm. Note on this recipe: THERE IS NO RIGHT or WRONG way to make this. You seriously just whip the 2 together. That’s IT. The orange tastes like the creamsicle push pops we used to get from the ice cream man! Here’s the finished product…
My mom made this for me last week because I had a minor surgery (and needed some light things to eat) and I was kind of doped when giving her the instructions on how to prepare it. She figured it out, despite my drugged up mental state, and it was ULTRA yummy, easy, and a no-fail kinda dessert. Garnish it with some fresh berries on top, and you’ve got a pretty yummy light dessert perfect for summer.
