Happy Monday! Hope all of you had a super weekend! For us, we had a weekend full of festivities that surrounded the baptism of my precious niece, or as I’d like to call it, “My Big Fat Greek Baptism.” And if you know how these kind of events are, it’s a time where EVERYONE gets together. Lots of celebration, food, drinks, dancing, and FUN! And we love to get dressed up too! It’s always fun to catch up and see friends both new and old. Seems almost like a reunion at times with family coming into town too! And I loved catching up with my dear childhood friend Vicki.
And being the GOLD lover that I am, I spotted her FABULOUSO bracelet from waaaaaaaaaaay across the room! Of COURSE I had to ask her about it and the first question I asked her was, “Was it your moms?” and I was right on! It was her Aunt’s who gave it to her mom, and her mom gave it to her.
Calling this piece MAGNIFICENT doesn’t do it justice. It is SO beautiful in person, so ornate, so detailed, so heavy, and it is delicate and grand all in one breath. Vicki told me she went to one of those Gold Parties and was offered $400o on the spot. She said NO WAY! It is PRICELESS! And I don’t blame her…. its meaning is worth way more than that. It’s truly an heirloom beauty. Definitely, “worth its weight in gold!” She wears it all the time… dressed up, dressed down, and it’s FABULOUS! I would too!
Do you have any AMAZING heirloom beauties? Something that has been passed down that is just so gorgeous? I love that… both meaningful from its history to the greatness of having a fabulous piece of jewelry that we can SO adorn ourselves the way us ladies LOVE to do!
