Cinco de Mayo is here! Time to have some nachos, some tacos, and some tequila, right?
Instead of a margarita, I’m sharing margarita’s “sister”, The Paloma (wink!).
The way I made The Paloma will save you calories. Here’s how I look at it.
- You’ll be eating chips and salsa.
- You’ll probably be eating queso too.
- Throw in a couple flour tortillas.
- Your drink limit may exceed 2.
So any way we can save calories, I’d say, let’s do our best to save a few. Only 69 calories per shot (ounce) of tequila, that’s not a whole lot of calories.
PIN it for later!
The Paloma
- 2 oz. Reposado tequila
- Juice from ½ a lime
- Salt to rim the glass
- Grapefruit soda (Jarritos, I used Fresca)
Rub lime on the rim of the glass and dip in salt. Put ice in the glass. Pour the tequila into a glass and squeeze in the lime juice. Fill with the soda, stir and garnish with a lime slice.
I’m feeling like spring. I’m feeling fresh! And I’m feeling this fiesta vibe in me.
My top hits the mood. I first shared it HERE. And that top is still available!
But for more fun vibes, check out this new song. I’m digging it!

Cheers to the weekend! Viva la fiesta!
