Hi loves! Sorry for the hiccup yesterday…. I had planned on sharing with you what an INCREDIBLE night I had with Dear Daughter after our event was over, but there was no internet connection en route home. #technologyissues. So anyhoo, I thought I’d share with my five things (that might turn into a few more, because I can be long winded at times… just sayin… right?).
1. Moments of a lifetime….
So you guys know my 12 year old is in love with a certain pop star whose initials are the same as James Bond…
Well, once again, we HAD to go see him, just up the road (about an hour an a half) but, this time, we got UP CLOSE and PERSONAL as we had seats at the very end of the stage, front row, 2 center seats. Holy COW!
He grabbed her hand and then at the end of the song right there I saw him looking at her for a long time smiling, then at me, then at her, then at me, then at her, then he was trying to keep a very SERIOUS composure with his hands to his face as if he was praying. And finally I shouted out to him, “You’re making them all crazzzzy!!!”, and as he was TRYING to keep a serious composure and posture (at this moment below), he burst out chuckling, “Ok that did it!!!” and laughed! VERY cool.
Dear girl will remember this forever. Today she said to me, “Seriously mom, that was the BEST day of my life EVERRRRRRRRRR.” OH if only I could have done that with John Taylor or Simon LeBon from DuranDuran…. I think in parenting we try to give our kids everything we wanted and couldn’t have. So it goes with this experience.
2. and 3. Dollar Tree can save your marriage. For REAL. I ventured to this FAVORITE shop of mine a few days ago to get earplugs (that we DIDN’T use) for the concert mentioned above, I picked up a few UNnecessary snacks, (if you like Taco Bell’s crunchy cinnamon treats, OMG, you BETTER get your hiney and also to pick up these (shown WITH the unnecessary snacks that are BY THE WAY YUMMMMMMMO)…
Yes… what you see is NASAL STRIPS… So the NASAL STRIPS will save your maraige ladies. I promise, these WORK! The entire neighborhood can hear my dear husband, bless his heart! So moral of this story, Thank you Dollar Tree for providing great snacks that are unique PLUS silencing the hubs! (among other great stuff you have!)
Great treats + A Peaceful night’s rest = Love this store. You might hear me talk about Dollar Tree again in the future… just sayin.
4. A geritol moment. Many of them. Like SERIOUSLY now folks. So please excuse me if I have a lapse of memory and I seem to pause, look CLUELESS, have a blank “deer in the headlights” stare… But all of a sudden, I have NO idea what’s wrong with me. I’m BLANKING out with EVERYTHING. Is that a perimenopausal thing? Am I going thru that? for REAL? Anyone? I’m TOOOOOO young to have THIS! No… not YET?
5. I’m just GLAD it’s FRIDAY. I have a little somethin somethin for you next week. OH I’m excited!….
Muuuuuuuuuaaaah!!
