Decor: California Dreaming

I recently came across the lovely home of TV producer and writer Michelle Nader, designed by well-known architect Barbara Bestor, in Domino and it made me think so much about what is going on in my world with my house. I’m redoing all the floors of the first floor of my home because I had some water issues that ruined my wood floors. (Posts to come on this crazy situation of mine soon!) And upon my search for looks similar to what I’m trying to achieve, I came across this.

First, I love the freshness of this California style home. I can literally feel the breeze come through those windows. And the mixture of textures, and how all of the spaces flow together, this home was something I had to share with all of you. I also love the bold colors throughout the different spaces. I will have lots of white beneath foot before long, so everything else will totally stand out as color.
