One of my favorite outfits in high school, I remember it vividly, was a light pink button down loose fitting rayon blouse, a white mini skirt, and a brass choker. Big bangs were an extra free perk to go along with it! Believe it or not I can’t remember the shoes, but I DO vividly remember this brass heavy choker, and what I wouldn’t give to still have it now!
They’re back. What comes around goes around. And seriously you guys, when I said I’m SO excited about this fall’s fashion styles, I sincerely mean it. For me personally, it has a sense of nostalgia that takes me back to my younger years, seeing my mom in her prime and looking at her in awe… And well, I’ve always had a passion for fashion! Not everyone will get the same feeling I get, but wearing this does make me feel a bit fabulous, I can’t deny.
So meet the “collar” necklace. I remember them as chokers. Either way, they’re the BOMB! I absolutely love their sleek minimalist look, accentuating our décolletage. They can be simple or not so simple, but my personal preference is this simple look to show our beautiful neck and collar lines. Wear it with an open neck top, layer it with other longer necklaces, or wear it alone. Either way, you’ll see lots of these collar necklaces around.
