Beverly Feldman: Too much is not enough

Too much is not enough.

That is the motto of Beverly Feldman, shoe designer and icon of over 40 years, and more fabulous now than ever. I’ve worn her shoes for years, and to be quite honest, I can’t part with them. My absolute favorite you can see here from this post from the summer…

It’s the detail in all her work that makes her shoes so special. Not only are they so comfortable, but they all have some special detail of sparkle or pizazz. These straw wedges have been EVERYWHERE with me because they go with everything. And it’s because of these wedges and social media that this woman with a zest for life and I connected half way around the world! And out of the blue I got a call from this woman, this fun vivacious crazy awesome lady. And so our adventure begins.

This year Beverly began sharing some of her thoughts and life’s experiences in her Diary. She’s not fond of the word blog, so her Diary is her online place where she chooses to share her stories that are SO fun, so entertaining, and so Beverly! Here’s an excerpt of her first chapter…

“Never wanting to get old, I admire my maturity now. A complete metamorphous of the crazed person that I lived with for so many years. A senior butterfly, coming into my third stage of beauty. Finally, more secure to be me.

I cut my hair and let it go natural. If a colorist tried to duplicate the gorgeous shades of grays that I have been covering up, it would be impossible. If we could just accept the natural process of life, but we can’t, so we support hundreds of industries in the pursuit of youth.

My attempt at maintaining my body was swimming every day in the summer. I had reached the end of Gym Rat Road and was swimming, not because I enjoyed it, but because I was obsessed to stay in shape and it’s an easy way to tan…topless. Besides I am a Pieces.”

Beverly, I’m a pieces, too. Oh my, if we got together we could be trouble! HA! (wink!)

Beverly’s zest for life comes across in the way she lives her life and in her shoe designs. They’re sexy, they’re comfortable, they’re sassy, they’re colorful, they’re Beverly.
