Beauty, Balance and Bonding

I think so many women who want kids love the thought of having a little girl.  There’s something about having a little girl to dress up and fix her hair.  God blessed me with a good one 13 years ago…  my mini-me.  And has she ever been a ball!  Parenting has it’s challenges for sure, but it’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve experienced and done in my life.  And keeping it all together is something I try to do as best as I can, and look my best, and feel my best, all while spending time with her and teaching her those things, too.  It’s about keeping healthy, looking good, feeling good from the inside out, and balancing the things we have in our lives,

So we decided to venture down our local faves on Western Avenue for some mom and me time and do these things together….  beginning with a workout at Barre 3…

 

 

 

 

 

After that, we decided to get our hair done before spending the day running around.   Eden Salon took great care of us…  look at this FABULOUS braid on mini-me’s hair!  Yes…. it’s ALL hers….  insane!  She’s very blessed!

 

 

 

 

Needing a little pick me up, we stopped at Whole Foods, grabbed a yummy smoothie and protein bar (love locally created Kize energy bars….)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What girl doesn’t enjoy her make up being done?  I have a confession…  I hardly ever have mine done and can I just say I didn’t know what I was missing?  It feels SO pampering!  I know better next time I have something special! Thank you Make Up Bar for perking up our faces.

Finally, to end our day, we wanted to spruce up our looks by adding something fresh to what we had on already…  CK and Company had the perfect pieces that dressed up our casual look.  From clothing to accessories to the shoes…

 

 

 

 

Feeling fabulous…  one “haute” mama and her “haute” mini…  spending time together, being healthy, feeling fresh, and counting our blessings!

These stores and others will be at next Thursday’s On The Lawn event…   A fun family evening benefitting Operation Warmth Coat-a-Kid, (so our OKC schools won’t miss because of freezing temperatures)…  FABULOUS goodie bags will be given away in exchange for donations to help coat our kids in need this winter.
