Hot, cold, hot, cold, and today rain. As much as I’m DYING for the spring to show more of his face, today was a bit on the chillier side. Now, because my “work” can be from home, and the weather was as such, I had to pull out what I’ve been wearing lot’s of this past winter. My husband’s shirt. Seriously, for this outfit, all you need is a man in your household. And if you don’t have a man, then you can shop the men’s sale racks! For REAL. Why go the women’s section and buy the “boyfriend shirt” for gobs more when you’ve got it for free in his section of the closet?
This is the boyfriend shirt look….
Where the girl wears the boyfriend’s big shirt, rolls up the sleeves and off she goes. Pair it with jeans or leggings (but please DO pair it with something unless you’re using it as sleepwear!) and it’s the most comfy and easy thing to throw on and go.
Add to it some great chunky bracelets, boom. Done.
So my simple look…
- classic Calvin Klein raincoat I got several years ago from TJ Maxx on the sale rack for like $20
- my basic black Tory Burch rain boots I’ve had for forever that I won’t ever part with
- HIS shirt
- my basics on the baubles that I do up almost all the time, EVEN though I have gobs more than I need and STILL feel like I can never have enough. You can’t see them because of the coat.
That’s the look. Not hard, right?
Trenchoat (similar) / Shirt (grab one from yo daddy’s closet!) / Leggings (similar) / Rainboots (similar)
ps… Have you identified my uniform yet? (um…. leopard coats, quilted stuff, neutrals, heather greys, ultra basic, don’t get rid of my s**t that I love and wear all the time? yeah…. that’s me.)
