For those who love Paris, this post is dedicated to you.
Upon arrival to the city of love, I was in awe. My jaw had dropped as the driver from the airport was taking us to our apartment that we had rented for the week. This was my first time visiting Paris, and of course I had seen it photographed oodles of times, but actually being there and seeing it in person was indescribable. So, as we approach our apartment, drool begins to come out of my mouth from the already jaw that is hanging.
The doors to our building… from the outside…
(I’ll claim those people in the pic!)
… and from the inside….
Isn’t that marble floor to DIE for? With those iron doors?
What inspired me to do this post today was this recent article in Traditional Home featuring a colorful and romantic apartment in Paris. It reminded me SO much of the place we stayed I couldn’t help but share it.
What I love in particular about the spaces in this apartment is they mixed contemporary pieces with the traditional French antiques and the left the old French carvings and floors.
We chose the elevators since our place was high up, but had we chosen the stairs, this would be our view…
I thought some characteristics of our place was very similar to that of the home featured in Traditional Home. So, here is a tour of our place….. “A Room With a View” as I call it….
Magnifique?

Your place was huge! Especially by Paris standards. You need to tell me where you rented from! Let’s go back to Paris!!!
