From as far back as l can remember, I always was into good skin care. I’ve shared some of my favorite skin care items in the past you can find them in my BEAUTY section, but the skin care line of my choice, Arbonne, has done it again! Arbonne, being known for their PURE SAFE BENEFICIAL skin care, beauty and healthy living products, has come out with their latest and greatest skin care product. They have outdone themselves and it’s GENIUS! Literally!
This GENIUS of a product is not a cleanser, nor a toner, nor a moisturizer. It is a nightly resurfacing pad that claims to
- Improves the overall look and feel of skin texture to restore a healthy, radiant glow to dull skin
- helps reduce the look of dark spots
- helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Provides the appearance of smooth, even-toned skin texture
- Shows significant improvement in skin clarity and blotchiness
Well I have had mine now for almost 2 weeks and let me tell you I’M LOVING IT! I didn’t take before and after pics, but I will tell you, the biggest thing I’ve noticed first and foremost is the blotchiness. I have something opposite of most…. HYPOpigmentation vs hyperpigmentation. I have white splotches on my face. That is why I love my awesome foundation. It gives me an overall even look. But how nice to not have to wear much make up. I can get by with that some in the summer during my “tan” months, but overall, my face has that blotchiness to it. The rest of my skin? Clear? Yes. Smooth? Yes. Wrinkle free? So-So. Firm? Mostly still (on my face… not everywhere else! HA!)
The Genius is comprised of a container of pads and a bottle of a solution formulated with a proprietary PBR+ complex, with PhytinolTM, botanicals and retinoid. This product works similar to Tretinoin (Retin–A) but without the irritation. Unlike Retinoic Acid, results of the standard RIPT (Repeat Insult Patch Test) skin irritation test showed no irritation after 21 days of continual use. So, in very simple terms, it works pretty much like Retin A without all the negative side effects! YAHOO! And, it requires NO prescription!
Also, anyone over 12 can use this product. So imagine if you have a teen who might go thru occasional blemishes and irregular skin issues. Why not give it a try? When I read that to my daughter, she was VERY excited to give it a try.
