When I was a little girl, I was always in awe of Wonder Woman. Just like little boys have their superhero they want to be like, she was mine. She was fierce, she was strong, she was invincible, she was feminine, she was beautiful, she was sexy, she was EVERYTHING. What woman doesn’t want to feel that?
This summer as we were driving to Rum Point in Grand Cayman, we found an empty beach that was so picturesque, so postcard worthy, it was absolutely perfect. Of course, the blogger Instagram obsessed girl I am, I shouted, STOP THE CAR!
And in that moment I ran out of the car and felt the wind in my hair, took in the solace, soaked in the scenery, and just released everything I had inside of me OUT.
I realize that all of you can’t go visit this beach on the drive up to Rum Point, but you CAN find a way to tap into YOUR inner Wonder Woman. How can you find your inner Wonder Woman?
- Find a place that you find solace, free from interruptions, a place that gives you mental escape, where ever that might be.
- YOU tap into YOU. Take EVERYTHING else out of your mind, and inhale through your nose, exhale out of your mouth, and focus on YOU.
- Tap into your core and see yourself as unstoppable, as fierce, as the most amazing woman that you’re MEANT to be… because you ARE.
- Focus on those relaxing breaths, on those thoughts of being the best bad ass, strongest woman there is.
Because guess what? You ARE.
For me, feeling the wind in my hair, nothing else around, no distractions of people, buildings, cars, etc… all of that did it to me. Maybe it’s going to a park, a lake, someplace that you FEEL the earth and the wind and you can just release all stress and let go. FIND that place. DO those those things I told you to do.
And find YOUR inner Wonder Woman.
She’s there. You need to unleash her. She’s dying to come out.
And what’s even cooler?
When you teach your daughter to do the same. Because our young women need to be the badasses they were meant to be, too.
