I know having all these holidays against a weekend can totally mess up our days. And yes, today isn’t Friday, it’s Wednesday. But what I wanted to share with you would do us no good on Friday if I wanted to share a New Years Eve recipe on New Years Day.
So hello Wednesday #FuzzyFriday!
Bring out the bubbly to toast in the new year, toss out the old and bring in the new. If we’re busy hosting our friends, let’s keep the beverages simple. Wine, beer, and of course the bubbly. But let’s make this pretty, shall we?
I’m sharing three fun ways to pretty up a simple glass of champagne or prosecco.
- Rock Candy Stirrers
- Cotton Candy
- Glitter Rim
I’m not going to deny, these were Pinspirations. So what happens when you try something from Pinterest? Sometimes they turn out great, and others… well not so much. So being OP, On Purpose, here’s how this went down.
The Rock Candy stirrers SUPER fun and fabulous, and watching the candy kinda fizz was cool. I used silver and gold decorative glitter that you’d use on cupcakes. Works better with colored sugar. And the cotton candy…. I think it should be attempted frozen. That way it might not dissolve so quickly. The bottom of the champagne flute turned darker, which was interesting, but to be quite honest, it’s fun to watch it happen and the extra sugar made it extra tasty! I’d call it “Funky Bubbles” and act like it’s “supposed to be that color” {wink!}
So here are 3 ways to dazzle up your bubbly.
We’re a day early for New Years Eve, and two days early for Friday, but who cares. I make the rules around here! Go get the goods and let’s have a PARTAY!
Cheers lovers!
