Beauty Oil: Sisley Black Rose Oil

When I first think of oil and beauty, I wouldn’t have thought the two go together. But after visiting Paris a few years ago and seeing some oils there, my mind began to shift. Fast forward to earlier this year and stumbling across this beautiful little jar of luxe oil, and it’s now confirmed. Beauty oils are totally amazing. Especially if you have a good one.

Meet Sisley Black Rose Oil. It’s a little bit of heaven in a jar. I wish our screens had a scratch-n-sniff feature so you could smell the light and beautiful fragrance of this clear and lightweight beauty elixir. Since you can’t, you’ll have to trust me. It’s amaaaaaazing. That alone is worth using it just to get the whiff of beauty.

I was kind of skeptical at first, because it does have a hefty price tag. And I’m all across the board when it comes to products… from middle of the range for my daily regimen, to drugstore on some of my makeup, so I’m a firm believer that price doesn’t always mean it’s the best. Well, in this case, it’s pretty darn amazing.

I’ve been using it fairly consistently this spring and summer. Many times at night under my night cream, and sometimes even in the morning beneath my day cream. See? I told you! It smells THAT good that I can’t help but use it. Just a few drops do the trick. My skin absorbs it, so it’s kind of a dry feeling, not an oily feeling, because I’m a bit on the oily side to begin with. And that doesn’t stop me from using it. My skin overall I think appears smoother, has a healthy dewy look, and just seems to glow. I feel like it has rejuvenated my skin and even created some youthfulness. I do think it’s an anti-aging thing, but I began being proactive when I turned 30, even though I always took care of it. In my opinion, we’re never too young to begin being proactive on turning back the hands of time.

I’m wearing no makeup other than a bit of mascara and my lips. Showing you my naked face again, but showing you unedited pics of my skin. (I don’t do those kinds of edits because I’m about keeping it real y’all!) You might not see the glow, but I don’t know how much of my age shows. I’m not saying that this product has wiped away 15 years, but what I am saying is it’s definitely a plus in the anti-aging war.
