I think some of us have the curse and others don’t. Some have more than others, some have less than others. But the older I get, my body’s skin texture is something I’m very aware of and want to keep as tight as can be. Especially in the rear and thigh zone, and in preparation for swimsuit season, it was high on my radar.
Cellulite. That’s like a four letter word when it comes to our body! HA! I don’t have it bad, but I have a little. I think diet and exercise are the primary keys to fix this. I can’t say I’ve been exceptionally great in these two areas lately, so I did everything in my power to see what I could do to minimize it’s appearance and see if I could “break it down”.
First, I’m sharing a super easy to make coffee scrub you can use before getting in the shower.
DIY Anti-Cellulite Coffee Scrub
- 1 c coffee grounds
- 6 tbsp coconut oil
- 3 tbsp sea salt
- empty jar
In a bowl, combine coffee and salt. Melt coconut oil in the microwave and add to the dry ingredients. Mix well. Pour into empty jar.
Scrub onto trouble spots in circular motion and rinse off.
I got my jar at Dollar Tree. Super easy!
I also used this sponge in the shower as well.
This I TOTALLY love! You HAVE to get it! It’s super cheap and I really feel like I noticed a difference. I used the harder side and really applied pressure on my outer thighs, inner legs and scrubbed away for a duration of a good solid several minutes on each area.
Another thing I’ve been using is this….
I will say without a question of a doubt, I think the combination of my sponge and this little Genius miracle in a bottle truly made a difference. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. A little goes a long way, and I would apply it after my shower all over my thighs and hips and inner legs.
You can order this serum HERE. (it has since been replaced with THIS cream!)
I can’t say I took before and afters but I did feel like my legs looked better.
My scrub is easy and inexpensive to make. That serum and that sponge are MIRACLE workers I have to say, too. I found a few other products for you as well. I can’t say I’ve tried all of these BUT they have some great reviews, so I do see myself wanting to try some, being the beauty junkie that I am. That sponge though… you gotta get that!

I can’t believe I am saying this but I am going to try this. How long do you have to do this until you see results?

Hi Ramona!
I was using the sponge and the Arbonne for about a month before leaving on my trip. I only made my coffee scrub right before I left, but it’s inexpensive and easy to make!
Good luck!
