Wear This: The Bomber Jacket

Last week I shared one of my favorite looks. The pencil skirt and the bomber jacket. Remember it?

I’ve actually been wearing my bombers for a while now. I started getting a few at the beginning of the summer and I knew it was going to be the one thing we’d want to have this fall. It’s the perfect transition piece and it can be so versatile.

AND…. it’s a blast from the past. 80’s is here! YES! My time!

So to show you that YES I really DO wear the stuff I talk about here, because I love to keep things REAL, here’s an elevator selfie. I know none of you have ever done this, right???? (wink!)

This actually was a day to night look. Pardon the bad lighting and selfie in the elevator! LOL! But I’m actually glad I snapped this. I wore this driving to St. Louis from Oklahoma City for my daughter’s sports not too long ago. Here’s how I took it from day to night.

For travel and to the games, I wore the dress with flat slides, my big Chloe every day bag, and the jacket tied around my waist. When it was time to go out to dinner with the parents and hit the casino and have grown up time, I wore my heels, switched out my bag for a little MiuMiu cross body, put my hair up, and I was ready to go. The jacket actually dressed up the look because it had almost a little bit of a satin feel and look to it and the gold zippers were nice accents as well. Same jewelry.

Simple, right?

Wear your bomber with a dress like I did, or a skirt like my post HERE, and of course the obvious, with jeans, and jeggings. Even to give your dressy look a fun twist, throw it over a party dress. Don’t make it so matchy-matchy either. It’s the unexpected that makes it so fun.
