Last week you read about EpicCon2016 HERE. An event like this needs to end with an event just as big. And it was. The Epic Party followed.
Aprille Franks-Hunt produced her first film, Unbroken Resilience, a film about her life, her resiliency, and her starting a movement to change how women bounce back from unfortunate circumstances.
When Aprille was 19, she was raped by a man she was dating, a man whom she trusted, a man she felt safe and secure with. This film’s purpose was not about the incident that changed her life, but about the ability to bounce back from any trials and tribulations that life throws at us. Aprille has a mission to help women globally see that they CAN bounce back from anything that happens in their lives, and come back even stronger. Her movie, along with her memoir, Confessions of an Independent Woman, is jaw dropping, truth telling events that exemplified strength, courage, and most of all resilience. When I first read her book in 2011, I could NOT put it down. And knowing her in person, knowing what she has overcome her WHOLE life, and what she has done to get to where she is today makes me have the utmost respect for this woman.
The conference attendees walked the red carpet, heard from cast members and left the movie premier speechless. And after, the weekend was wrapped up with an Epic Party, a social hour and enjoying the rest of the night hitting the dance floor.
