I made this TO DIE FOR side dish over the holidays, and all I can say is my family was like OOOMMMMGGGGG… like NON STOP, licking their fingers, and I couldn’t make more of it fast enough.
Let’s face it. I don’t know why all things bacon seem to be hot, but they are. Bacon in this, bacon in that. I had THE most amazing Candied Bacon Cinnamon Roll with Maple Icing at Cafe 501 this fall… and I mean to tell you… ya… um… ya. Incredible!
So back to the story here. We mostly think of bacon as a side to our breakfast, but I say bring this bad boy on ANY time, even for a Super Bowl party. It only has 2 ingredients, so it’s not like it’s THAT complicated.
(ignore the holiday decor… insert footballs here! HA!)
Sugared Bacon
- thick sliced bacon
- brown sugar
Line a baking sheet with foil to make clean up easier. Set inside the baking sheet a cooling rack. Pour and spread the brown sugar into a shallow dish and dredge each piece of bacon in it. Lay them one by one across the baking rack. Bake in preheated oven 400 degrees until crisp or about 20 min.
Complicated, right?
Serve it up at breakfast, brunch, or really, any other time, because it’s THAT good. Just sayin. Finger lickin good… for real.
You’re welcome.
