Today I’m getting personal with you, and showing you real life s**t here. And I wonder how many of you ladies relate.
I’ve gotten embarrassed lately, on more than one occasion, either at a grocery line, or out with friends looking for something in my bag. I looked like a massive cluster f**k, excuse my French. Seriously, if you could SEE me digging through there like I was a homeless person digging through the trash, it was AWFUL. My purse clutter was gross. Seriously.
So what I decided to do was kinda sort it out into piles….
- * what was trash, thrown into the trash
- * what just outright didn’t even BELONG in that pit (like nail polish and jewelry??? and my daughters reward bucks from the Ortho?)
- * personal care stuff
- * business card stuff
- * receipts like NO other
- * just other randomness
So what I did was I gathered how ever many categories I could come up with (not like 20.. I mean it’s a purse that I need to carry around, not a travel bag), and got that number of little “make up” bags or pouches. I suggest getting some in different textures. I’ll tell you why later….
So what I decided to to was use each little pouch for something…
Like something for business cards…
Random mints…
Little cosmetic pouch with a few hair things, lip stick, liners, lip balm, perfume..
A pouch for receipts rather than me just TOSSING them in the bag…
Of course some of that doesn’t go in a pouch, like my little pill box, my notebooks, a few pens, my gum…
And everything looks WAY better. So if I need to change purses, I just grab what I need out of here. I prefer something like this WAY better than those bag fillers that are interchangeable. I can’t see if those would fit into the different sizes of bags I have and as often as I change them, this seemed way more simple.
Why the different textures? Well, if you’re driving and have to have your eyes on the road, if your hand reaches over in your bag to get to your “make up” bag so you can touch up your lipstick, you can FEEL which bag your getting and grab the right one without even looking. {wink!} We love that now don’t we ladies!

OMG! I was kicking my own a$$ today for my bag being too cluttered. Love the big bag and love your little baggies. Where did you get your ‘main’ big bag?
