Periscope

Only out just two and a half short months, meet Periscope. The newest coolest way to see the world through someone else’s eyes LIVE. It’s an app you download to your phone. I’m android. You get to live stream whatever it is you want to do to your twitter followers. You get to see fun events, random babble, even church service like I saw this morning on my friend Robin’s scope. I watched my friend Aprille singing in the car, I saw Daymond John in the set of Shark Tank before they were about to film their next season. Two months ago Ellen “scoped” her monologue. And yesterday Hillary Clinton did her first scope. I think it’s kind of a fun thing! So I said, I need to give this a whirl. It’s NEW and it’s hot and fresh and Twitter just bought it. So, it’s something I might want to be in the know about.

I think it’s totally a fun idea. As one friend put it, “Do you want to watch me make my sandwich “LIVE””? I chuckled! Welllllll… ok… so point kinda made… I mean really… do we need to see what EVERYONE is doing all the time? Probably not. But, it’s a fun thing if you’re traveling, if you want to share a lecture perhaps, an event, how easy that makes it all to be streamed! And if you just want to be silly goofy like me, you might find me singing in the car with it. Let’s hope I don’t lose my day job y’all!

I’m still learning.. so please have patience with me if you’re already a seasoned scoper. The tapping on the hearts in the corner is like clapping I think… it’s like OH LOOK THEY’RE GIVING ME LOVE! kinda thing. Super cute! And people can text to you while you’re talking so you can talk respond to them. I think that’s way cool!

Sooooo… here was my first go around with it. I’m not an expert with it and don’t have all the answers, but let me know what you think. I’m here with my daughter and she’s learning how to drive. Good stuff, right? Plus a little extra family stuff. Get the popcorn out!
