Olympic Inspired Spaces: Gold Silver Bronze Decor

I can’t believe the Olympics are almost over. Is it just me or does it feel like it just begun?

In the spirit of the Olympics, I thought I’d pull some decor inspiration from the Olympics: Gold Silver Bronze decor. To be quite honest, I’d pull these rooms even if we didn’t want the Olympic theme! These are all tones I love to use in my home and want to share how you can do so in yours.

You don’t have to have a GOLD room to have gold in your decor scheme (although my powder bathroom is floor to ceiling gold wallpaper believe it or not!). Having sprinkles of it here or there, as accent pieces, in your hardware, with your lighting, with accessories all do the trick.

The key point in all this is this: Add some metallic to your scheme. It adds an interesting factor to the tones going on in your room. Imagine how boring all of these spaces that had metal in them were a flat color, perhaps white, or brown or tan or black, or whatever… it would be boring. The metal thrown in with a splash here or there gives it some interest.
