So… this is kinda a #tbt post, as in, I was doing this LAST week, so technically that’s a throw back.
It’s also, “in case you go camping this weekend” kinda post too. Just sayin all you glamour girls going “outdoorsing”. Um ya.
Ok…. so a follow up to PART 1, here we go….
There’s this lil guy that I want to EAT up in one HUGE bite, because I’m his momma bear…. and HE’s the reason why I’m going #glamping….
So we did this big huge hike… like as in SERIOUSLY did I totally forget that I have a sh**y knee? Ya, I forgot that, but I was quickly reminded as I proceeded up the mountain. Ya. 2 mile hike up the mountain. Ya me. Um ya.
Oh did I mention we saw a copperhead snake along the way?
Ya, that happened, too.
So we did all that, had a SUPER cool bonfire at night… Ok can I say how UUUU-MAAAAAZING the sky looked at night? But unfortunately, I couldn’t photograph it. And basically if I sent you a pic of the bonfire, it would look like a fireball. So ya. Oh and Alli and I figured that we hiked at least 10 miles that day. Ya.
The next day, we did more activities with the kids.
Yes WE did… as in I did too….
um….. was I doing something wrong? Ok Mr. Kabota boy {Alli and I nicknamed him that because we wanted to ride down to the bonfire in his Kabota truck, the bonfire that was WAAAAAAAY out there on the tip of the peninsula in the middle of the lake. Ya, at like 9:30 at night. Ya. }
These were my AWESOME super sweet girls that Alli and I got the pleasure of being their “cabin moms”. We stayed up and talked girl talk, giggled, and seriously, had SO much fun. Cray cray, right???
And of course, I had to sneak in a bit of junk food, right? {made me feel like a kid and a slumber party!}
The one thing I DID forget was some good trash magazines, because I forgot I would have bad internet. A glam girl HAS to have something like magazines or Pinterest, right?
But wrapping it up with some final thoughts…
So in case any of ya’ll plan on going camping soon…. plan for
- *who knows what kinda food,
- *Lysol, because you might use it to kill wasps in your cabin like I did,
- *comfy shoes,
- *clothes for layering,
- *minimal jewels and makeup,
- *big sunglasses to look fabulous and protect your eyes from getting crows feet,
- *books or magazines,
- and the mindset that you’ll escape from everything and it will be all worth it.
I’d do anything for my babes. Mom hat is my #1 hat. {heart SO full of joy, you can’t explain it unless you experience it. Only then can you understand it.}
#onpurpose #thatswhatlifesabout {wink!}
