I’m DYING over here in this Oklahoma heat. Seriously y’all… (ok for me to say that means I’m REALLY talking straight talk!)… it’s MID October and I’m going…. bring out the Banana Boat and let’s have Pina Coladas poolside? Come on now! We’re having temps in the 90’s and I can’t take it.
So I’m FORCING fall with this one. And I got the inspiration from sweet Joanna over at Motherhood & Merlot. Remember that October Scopers thing I talked about HERE? Well she’s a part of that amazingness of women, and she shared it on her periscope yesterday, so I said to myself, gotta make this! It sounds PERFECT for all. A little cinnamon whiskey to warm us up with the flavors of apple cider… YUM!
Fireball Cider
- 2 ounces Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
- 3 ounces apple cider
- Apple slices
Soak apple slices in a bit of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey for at least several hours.
Fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour in the Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey and then top with apple cider. Stir gently until mixed. Garnish with the soaked apple slices.
Serves 1.
This makes me feel all warm… Picture this drink on a chilly evening, by a fire, all cozied up with sweaters and blankets. It’s spicy, sweet and warms you as it goes down.
Ahhhhhhhh.
