Most people decide to either paint walls or wallpaper walls. How about mirror the walls? I’ve always loved the idea of using mirror on a wall not only because of its simplicity, but it’s ability make the room appear larger. It’s an illusion, but it works its magic beautifully especially if your space that you’re working with is small. Want to double that space? Mirror it up.
You can easily double the size of a room with mirrors, whether it’s one piece or pieces together, or even smokey mirrors. It creates that optical illusion of a space twice its size.
I actually have one whole wall in my bathroom that’s mirrored that I designed like that 17 years ago. Yup, that long ago! And I still love it (well, the update of the floor and shower has been a long time coming.. that’s for a future post!) My bathroom is a relatively nice size, but I wanted it to be way bigger, so to give it that feel, I used all mirror on two of the walls. Want to see it?
