Can I please get a showing of hands, how many of you are consumed with This Is Us?
That’s what I thought. Entire room, you can put your hands down.
It’s SUCH an amazing show, and I have to say, I’m equally as taken not only how beautifully written the story line is, but everything about it, especially having lived through all of those decades. It definitely brings back memories.
And I have to say, I’m a little bit taken with how gorgeous Mandy Moore is, and seeing her transition in the decades as well. I found it so cool and so ironic that she recently purchased a home in Pasadena that has a style that almost reminds me of the show, I kid you not! Mandy Moore mid-century home and her show This Is Us is in sync.
Take a look and tell me what you think.
What’s old is old and what’s old is new. I can’t even tell you how many things from the past I’m in love with and you’re going to be seeing so much more of, including things from the 70’s and 80’s. (I want her hair by the way too!) I think this is so fitting with the sign of the times. It’s old coming back. And the show brings it to life.
Her new domicile is 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sits atop a fabulous hilltop, and has some features that aren’t seen often. It has a floating fireplace that sits between the living area and sunken dining room. The hood of the fireplace is the focal point, and it’s surrounded by brick that also runs through the flooring. The backyard will be a fun hangout with a pool, a pond and the spectacular views overlooking the San Gabriel Mountains.
The LA Times reports the home was design by Chicago architect Harold Zook and was one of his last ever homes as it was completed in 1950 and Zook passed away the previous year.
It’s modern. It’s eclectic. It’s hip. It’s unique. I think it’s very fitting.
What design inspiration would you take away from this?
