Reaching the top 4th trending hashtag on twitter during the weekend of The Epic Conference, #EpicCon2016 lived up to it’s name. It WAS Epic. First of all, in case you missed my post inviting you to The Epic Conference and sharing what it was, you can read about it HERE.
This was all about purpose driven entrepreneurs who came to hear:
- solutions for their business
- strategies to increase revenues
- ways to position brands
- how to create cash flow
This was about transformation, about becoming better, being different, and being ready to do BIG business.
So what was it about it that made it Epic? Several things:
The lineup of speakers and the content that they brought to the table.
First and foremost, there was of course our hostess for the weekend, Master Coach Aprille Franks-Hunt. Aside from the environment she created for us and the event as a whole as exciting and informative as it was, Aprille shared mogul speaking techniques, how to build a tribe, and painted a vision for everyone to get ready and get big.
There were people there like Allyson Byrd who has worked with clients that have won contracts with companies like Walmart, Kraft Foods, Ford, Mercedes, Bank of America, General Motors, UPS, P&G, Walt Disney Company, Walgreens, Target and more. Known as The Profit Accelerator, she shared talked about positioning your brand.
There was Dr. Drai who is an OBGYN who not only is nationally known physician, doctor to the stars, but also a speaker, who shared invaluable tips on getting booked as a speaker.
There was a panel who spoke about going global and ways to get your company and brand seen internationally.
These are just a few nuggets of information that gave the attendees ACTIONABLE steps. This wasn’t a bunch of rah rah. There were tips and strategies shared that the attendees could begin to put into practice THAT day. In fact, I can share a personal testimony that my daughter actually did pull out her laptop there and began taking action WHILE at the conference. So their tips and information was THAT good.
The spirit and undertone in which the conference had and the understanding of abundance and sense of love for all.
At the very beginning of the conference, Aprille laid down the law and made sure there was a clear understanding that this environment was going to be a place of growth, a place of love, a place where we were going to lift each other up, that this was NOT a place of competition, a place of judgement, a place of anyone trying to “sell” something. The fact that this was stated from the beginning was so unique to my ears, to know that everyone who was sharing their content and information did it from a place of authenticity and passion. This was not a place for competition, but a place for cooperation, a place of growth, a place for abundance. That, to me, spoke highly of the tone that the conference was to have.
Was it a conference or a party?
Are there DJ’s at EVERY business conference? For the entire day? I hadn’t heard of any until The EPIC Conference. Every morning, the DJ began by playing music, getting everyone moving. Now let me clarify. The music played wasn’t easy going Kenny G to get us all relaxed to get comfy in our seats. It was music to give us our mini cardio workout for the morning. And women were dancing of all ages, from the youngest to women in their 60’s, taking pictures, using selfie sticks, and it set the stage for the most FUN environment to receive the message of abundance and the business tips and strategies to help amplify our businesses to take them to the next level.
Let’s not forget Tory Johnson from GMA Deals and Steals was the keynote speaker. From an epic social media team to a 15 year old entrepreneur, Honestly Margo, everything about this weekend was powerful and inspirational at the same time.
Here’s a look at some of the highlights of the weekend.
