Nothing to me says cheers like good times with good friends, especially girlfriends. Those girls that you know you can totally let loose with and be yourself and laugh and snort and talk about anything and everything with no judgement. This drink reminds me of hanging out with those kinds of seesters, because, after all, we are celebrating National Tequila Day today! (wink!) And being the fact that I just came back from Mexico, I had to share something with tequila. … fyi, margaritas aren’t my thing. Bad experience in college. You know… We all probably have one of those, right? (wink!)
Soooooo… this fun fruity concoction is yummy and looks pretty too.
Dos Mujeres
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. tequila (Tequila Herradura Silver recommended)
- 2 oz. pineapple juice
- 2 oz. cranberry juice
- Splash of lemon-lime soda
- Splash lime juice
- Sugar for rimming and lime wedge for garnish (optional)
Directions: Rim glass with sugar. Fill tall glass or mixing glass with ice. Stir in tequila, fruit juices and soda. Add a splash of lime juice and stir again. Garnish with fresh lime wedge.
It’s refreshing, it’s semi-sweet, I love the taste of the lime and the sugar for sure! And straws are optional. I always love a straw to not mess up my lipstick! (wink!)
Cheers to the weekend lovelies! We made it thru the week!
