Consider this a “from the archives” post… A few new peeps have joined our little “On Purpose” family since last Thanksgiving, and this is TRULY so yummy, that I thought I would play a “rerun” of last year’s episode.
From a can? The kind you can “slice”? Or homemade? I love cranberry any way you serve it up to me. It’s YUM! I have been making this recipe since about the time I got married (which would be 16 years ago), and it’s requested OVER and OVER again. I will not lie…. I cannot take credit for the yumminess of this piece. We can thank Williams Sonoma for that.
The goods:
- 1/2 orange
- 2 cups water
- 1 tart apple, such as Granny Smith, pippin or
McIntosh - 3 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
See the HOW TOs HERE. The recipe is SUPER easy, and instead of chopping the apples, I grate mine. Makes it go faster and way easier.
I know you can’t smell how amazing it is, but you can hear it go “snap crackle pop”…
The finished product….
This was TOO good to NOT share with you again. JUST in case you needed a cranberry sauce recipe. Seriously, once you try it, you’ll want to make it every year.
And if you’ve seen this before, well, it’s a little refresher that you need to that the advice of The OP Life and make it! HA!
Happy pre-turkey day!
