Ok… not to be funny, but nudes have been my theme so it seems this past spring! LOL!! (I talked about some nudes HERE and HERE.) I’m noticing a pattern as I begin sharing this post with you today. I can’t help it… I love the nudes! HA!
Ok… in all seriousness, I love the nude lip. My nude lip isn’t totally nude. I prefer it to have a pale peachy/pink tone to it. I have had some nude lipsticks before that are so nude, they look like a stick of cover up. Those aren’t my faves. So MY version of nude isn’t COMPLETELY nude.
(blurrrrry selfie! lol!)
For some reason I love the softness of the look, it reminds me of a Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian look. You don’t have to line them, but most of the time I choose to do so… and my trick? NOT lip liner. Usually an eyeliner or an eyebrow pencil! I don’t like the “pinkness” of most lipliners out there. The color of the eye pencil is much more subdued in this way. Also, I love defining the lip with a slightly darker liner (yeah, that’s me with clown lips, but I love em!) because it creates the illusion of volume and size. A little make up trick I learned from my momma!
Some of my color choices? These are literally from my purse! Ranging from low end to high end. Take your pick!
I realize nude lips aren’t for everyone, especially if you’re fair toned and blonde. However, as the summer months approach us, the more sun we have on our bodies (be it natural or spray tan), the more the nude lip will compliment your look. Just my opinion. But for us brunettes, or even sandy blonde, this nude looks awesome with a golden tan.
