I couldn’t call these balls. I just couldn’t tell you to eat my balls. 😀
But these bites, that’s another story!
These are SO good, and if you have about 5 minutes, then you have time to make them.
Think of them like a no bake cookie but extra goodness packed in it. These energy protein bites are perfect for an after school snack, for a part of your breakfast, really anytime you just want a little sweet pick me up treat.
5 Minute Energy Protein Bites
- 1 c rolled oats
- 1/2 c chocolate chips
- 1/2 c ground flaxseed meal
- 1/2 natural peanut butter
- 1/3 c honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix all of your ingredients in a bowl. Form into little balls and arrange on a baking sheet. Freeze until set.
This recipe makes about 24. However I made about 22 because I was nibbling on the dough as I made it. You know how that goes right? I didn’t include vanilla when I made them and they turned out totally yummy.
So good. So simple. And a healthy treat when you want just a bite of something something.
